waiting for your CDMA version huh?? Good luck with that, do you really think Apple will go with Verizon who is getting ready to implement LTE, so they will have a CDMA version for maybe a year before the phone will not work any longer. Also, LTE which will not be fully functional until like 2011. So, the iphone would only be able to be used in like 10 big markets for the next year. You will eventually see it on Verizon's network but not for a few more years.

Sprint might be able to do it unless they change technologies again and get closer and closer to running out of money.

T-Mobile is the only other provider really left...hmmmmm

The iPhone 3GS is HSDPA which is what AT&T 3G actually runs which will make it pretty damn powerful

I do remember reading that the Apple Contract was extended until 2010. Once that was completed Verizon was jumping up and cause they knew they missed the boat the 1st time. Everyone knows Steve Jobs went to Verizon 1st and they told him know cause they wanted to neuter the phone only on there network. 👀

Exactly. Everybody wants to point fingers at Apple and talk $hit about AT&T but Apple went to Verizon first. It's not their fault Verizon wanted to cripple the phone due to their socialist ways. Apple wasn't going for that. They give me crap that it was Apple. BULL. It was Verizon who didn't want to play fair.

Who the hell knows what Verizon wanted to do. Probably cripple wi-fi and a whole else of other horrible things. People should be glad it's on AT&T, please. Sprint sucks and has rotten customer service. The only carrier left is T-Mobile but they're too busy with the G1 and their beloved Sidekick.

Much more to the Apple-Verizon story than the paranoia and funny rumours people create about why it was not meant to be.

"The sticking points were Apple’s desire to get a cut of subscription fees and to control how and where phones could be sold."

"Apple then went into “the waiting arms” of Verizon’s rival and top U.S. carrier Cingular. Among the controls and stipulations that Apple demanded were that the phone not be sold in Wal-Mart, Best Buy or other Verizon distributors, and that Apple have discretion over replacement and repair of defective handsets."

Well thats what they want the general public to know we know the real deal. We already knew about all of that but you know for damn sure Verizon wanted to cripple phone to it's liking please.

Now Verizon is running into the arms of AT&T cause they missed the boat the first time and I hope Apple charges them up the a$$ for it too.
