Alltel Brings Back One-Year Contracts

Verizon gives a big f*** you to the competition

Yet another cut throat move by verizon. they are allowing only customers in the alltel markets that verizon is required to sell off to sign one-year contracts...what does that mean? whomever buys the markets will have customers that will only stick around for a year before jumping ship to verizon...brilliant!

Verizon isn't the one that is setting the 1 year. Verizon can't touch the divested markets. Same way as Alltel can't touch the non divested markets. If they do, they can get fined by the FCC. This comes from Alltel as the divested parts are still operating as Alltel.
