No, verizon has planed to have this phone. They just needed to get rid of some blackberrys for all the new blackberry. Bogo is a hint.

I'm sure all carriers will have some version of this phone, its price point as others have pointed out fits the bill. And I agree, I think VZW wanted to clear some stock out.
