"Over the next six months or so you will see devices like Palm Pre and a second generation Storm."

Another speculative article, you people believing it are just feeding the speculation. There is nothing in that article which says it's going to Verizon. Verizons CEO: "see devices like Palm Pre." I find it odd that, not one Palm official has said the Pre is going to ATT or Verizon. I find it equally odd that, within a matter of days you have 2 CEO's from rival carriers saying pretty much the same thing, just days before the June 6th launch. Some of you probably believe the iphone is going to Verizon. 🤣

Sprint will fail to produce with the Pre then Palm will need to release to Verizon and ATT to keep afloat....Palm is doing horribly...they're probably kicking themselves for just locking down to sprint at all. and within six month all the bugs will be worked out, the price of the software will be cheaper and they will probably release on verizon and att for two hun and it will take off!

Wrong, the Palm Pre is due to launch in 70 other countries. Bell Canada is next, then the GSM Euro version, Australia is slated to get a version of the Pre as well. The Canadian and Euro launches should happen in the next 6 months.

Why only America?...pretty sure Palm will make money on any and every Pre sell around the world which is a much much larger scale than the 3 largest US carriers combined. Also a "devices like Plam Pre" could equal Eos or a new version for all we know. Again they are doing what they can to keep people from jumping ship with is a smart move IMO. The other issue no has mentioned is the Pre shortages due to every single one of them having to be hand tested in the fatory in China befreo they can ship with is why Sprint will only have 150k to 300k at launch which to me is considered a soft-launch and could change things depending on how the exclusive deal works. The 6 months (if that even is the time period) may not start until Palm can produc...

Again you are here spewing you lack of knowledge, verizon got the touch pro 6 months after sprint the didn't drop the price at all.... actually they increased the price but again what do you expect from sgt_joker.. How bout another example The touch diamond came out 8 to 9 months after sprint had it and verizon drops it with a increased price tag.

So again i ask you please know what your talking about before you post....

Why in the world would anyone from Palm announce that it will be carried anywhere besides Sprint NOW? Palm needs to sell as many Pre models as possible right out of the gate. So it needs to at least pretend that Sprint is the only one getting love.

That said, I do think the particular language used by both AT&T and Verizon is a bit curious. Why not just say, "We're getting the Pre?" Even still, I would be SHOCKED if Sprint is still the only ...
