Pre is a Sprint exclusive for 1 year minimum and may extend based on sales. That's from palm.

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. Sprint is getting an exclusive Blackberry too in Feb. Also, Storm sucks. Blackberry Bold is 10000000 times better. But yes Pre is Sprint exclusive for 1 year minimum. That's been leaked all over u caveman u. VZW may get a device "LIKE" the pre but it won't be the Pre. Maybe a treo lookin phone with small screen.

Actually its expected many customers from good ol VZW are porting to Sprint for this phone. Wait and see on june 6th. And also "six months or so" is a broad statement there. Also...I don't want to take out a loan to use VZW when sprints service Is just as good.

hope it does work well for sprint its just sprints performance doesn't make the outlook look favorably- sprint is doing horrible right now...and cheaper prices is not working for them either because millions of customer are leaving and paying MORE to be with better carriers. a few Internet dorks that are with verizon that have expressed interest in leaving verizon doesn't count.

I had a whopping 3 customers ask about palm products since I opened up last year. all three of them just wanted them as PDA's with no interest in data hookups. Good luck with that.

And sprint service sucks around here. Yes, where it works it is a good value, but it doesn't work in nearly as many places as Verizon or ATT.

To those saying it is 6 months, can you provide any information where a Palm or Sprint official has said it is 6 months? Not some damn blog speculating or assuming, I want to read an article which specifically quotes the comments from the horses mouth.

It is so funny that a week from launch both carriers come out with SPECULATIVE statements assuming that they will get the Pre.

What is even funnier is that Verizon trolls like Sgt_Joker and VZW611LA think they know everything about the Pre and the truly official documents that are only privy to Sprint and Palm folks.

So they will claim that it is only six months of exclusivity, when that has not been said anywhere. ANYWHERE. Then they will talk about Sprint losing millions of customers and how they have no customers and blah blah blah. Then they will spout off about how great Verizon is EVERYWHERE.

Same Verizon that I just ported 30 numbers back to Sprint today. Because their coverage is terrible here.

The Pre's exclusivity ag...

yet you run away from the facts every time they are presented to you. i signed up thirty ppl so verizon sucks 🤣 lets see verizon has the lowest churn of any carrier, a larger 3G foot print, and oh lets not forget that they signed up another 1.3 million customers last quarter..while sprint is still losing millions of ppl that choose to MORE MONEY to go with other carriers..but you can't deal with those facts... it's just easier for you to call any opposition a troll. great argument 🙄 you must of done well in debate class lol..hopefully sprint can do well and sell a lot of PRE's but i don't think it will happened. sprint name is MUD right now, and noone is signing up with them. i think they should lower the price of the phone.

I am not debating with an ignorant person.

Verizon is great...blah blah 3g blah blah biggest footprint blah.

In every post you claim Sprint is losing millions of customers as if they dont add any at all.

It gets frustrating reading all of the yeah Verizon BS.

And heaven help anyone that posts that they have had a bad experience with Verizon and they want to leave. I've read multiple posts that YOU have written that blast said people out of the water for choosing something else.

Verizon is a very well ran company with maybe one of the best ad campaigns in the history of advertising.

I can't take that away from them. And I don't call any opposition the troll. I have never said anything like that about Menno, who works for V...

tmobile signed up more than sprint last quarter. sprint only signed up boost customers, and lost high APRU post paid contract accounts. tmobile has more gsm customers than sprint has cdma customer that's why it's ranked the way it is on PS.

Verizon is the best. Sprint sucks. Verizon has the biggest 3g, native network footprint...blah blah blah. Sprint is losing millions of customers...blah blah blah.

i don't think so. the iphone is only two hundred dollars..why would anyone go with sprint when the game changing phone is only two bills. sprint needs desperately to bring in customers, the 3 hun price point they will just walk away and go and get the storm or the iphone. i can't wait to see the number come rolling in 🤣 should be interesting

I do! There is a lot more to this device than you think. You will find out in another week. You are trying to manipulate and diffuse the debate by throwing in the Sprint card. Desperation my friend.
Give us a better reason than carrier choice.

I will say it again! This device is worth every penny regardless of carrier!

the only thing desperate around here is sprints appalling numbers..and they know it....3 hundred is a lot of change for your average customer..and with millions of sprint highest APRU customers already fleeing for different carriers the pool of ppl willing to shell out that money is quickly vanishing. im sure it will be a great device, but sadly noone is going to be knocking down the sprint store to get one. plus the iphone announcement all the heels of the pre is more bad news for sprint.

yes I do...but it has everything to do with the carrier it is launching on.

Do you like MIR? Most people don't. That's three hundred out the door....just saying if they would launch it at two hundred I think it would sell a lot better. Take the Curve sprint had it @ two hundred forever even while verizon was selling it for 100 bucks, no MIR plus bogo offer..now sprint lowered their price recently but still have it at 150 out the door...that's not the way to get ppl to buy.

Actually, I find their product pricing competitive and on mark. I think being biased on pricing for one carrier to another is contradictive to your response. You say Sprint is not pricing correctly, but if it were this price on another carrier, it is ok. That to me is 200 dollars no matter what. BTW, the projected price of the Pre was 299 after rebate. So in theory, they did lower for fair market.

Let me ask you this. What "If" Sprint had been the 5 year exclusive to the Iphone? What opinion would you have?
Sprint deserves to have an exclusive just as any other carrier and they have the right to ask what price every other carrier would ask. If they don't sell, well too bad for Sprint and Palm. But they do have the right to charge what t...

I expected no reply. This question was proposed by me several other times with no response.

If I could be so candid, In a sense, Sgt. Joker has a point in the marketing aspect. Sprint and Palm can not afford to loose money but a device of this nature deserves much more advertizing. Apple and Att pushed the crap out of the Iphone before launch. It essentially was sold before release.

Sprint has made huge improvements and are on a good path. In order to attract subscirbers as myself, to experience these improvements, T

Management needed to put the pressure on. CS was absolutely horrible and phone selection was the worst. The turn around has been dramatic. I have never been happier. Great CS, up to date with devices and their innovation is back on line. The problem is this:

Most people will really not say much of a good experience unless casually asked. Then it usually stops there.
