Pricey!

Granted this is a nice looking device, but isn't $200 on contract a bit expensive for a fairly standard GSM/GPRS/EDGE BlackBerry? You'd think they could at least match T-Mobile at $149.

My thought is they want to deplete the 8310's before they drop the price on the new Curve.

I can also see them getting the flip pearl before the end of the summer since the existing pearls are sitting on shelves.

It seems as though you make mention of both the 8310's & Pearls sitting on shelves. Aren't BB's popular?

So did RIM discontinue making the block style pearl in favor of only making the flip pearl?

because the 8900 does everything the bold does, and out does the bold with it's edge speed. the edge on the 8900 isn't the typical edge, it has 3 channel of edge, giving a near 3g speed for edge like battery life

there is a video floating around online of a bold and a 8900 trying to access the same bes and it took the bold an additional 40 seconds to do what the 8900 already did

Yes BB's are very popular, but everyone gets the Bold because it's the "newest thing". When you have the bold & curve displayed next to each other it helps make the choice obvious just by looking at the screen.

Except that you have yet to look into it because if you had you would soon realize the 8900 has a better quality screen.

Either way by purchasing it through AT&T you are losing the UMA feature which is only with T-Mo. Both have pros and cons depends on the user.

I was talking about the Bold and 8310, not any of T-Mobiles devices. UMA will be available for AT&T soon enough.

Where do you get ATT service? Where do you get Tmobile service?

Just because one company has some pricing doesnt mean everyone has to match for it to be considered a good value.
