THIS is bogus. NO Q9n (Napoleon) will be released by VZW, Motorola or any one else. Someone has simply dug up last year's news and reposted. Never came to fruition, wasn't meant to. The only release was to the US government.

It was clearly meant to come to fruition, at least at one point, or they wouldn't have developed it and submitted it for FCC approval.

We're merely reporting on the first available confirmed facts about it, and the fact that it was approved by the FCC.

There were some rumors about this device before, including a rumor that it was canceled. We have no confirmed info either way about its release or cancellation. We don't report on things we don't know for a fact.

Mark my words. I speak the truth. And contrary to what you "know" it was indeed released to the DOJ/DHS agencies last year but NOT and NEVER TO BE released to the public. You may feel free to be as arrogant as you please, but what you don't know, you don't kknow.

There's no need to be cryptic and rude.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like you're saying this was developed by Motorola and Verizon exclusively for government customers. That's interesting. Do you have any way we could verify that?

With due respect, it's fairly common knowledge to those of us who follow these things. Strange that it has been missed by your "knowledge" base. Please feel free to verify it on your own account. I'm sure that will lend much more gravitas to it. BTW, I've been using one continuously since the end of last year. Nuff said, by me.

maybe different phone. How many razr labels are there? V3, V3c, V3g, V3i.... all with different fcc approvals. The facts of phone scoop are on target based on whats released. Your special gov't issue is probably just old hat now and a new version with updated specs is needing approval. So just sit back have a coffee and see what happens on the new approvals before you think you an expert. ๐Ÿ˜

Rich, the Motorola staff who developed the A4500 sold off the test models before the Moto facility I mentioned earlier closed in NJ.

The unit was developed for Homeland Security according to that staff, and policy was to not release to the general public units developed for that branch of government.

There is no way to verify that information in a forum like this, but the publication of the 10/2008 FCC Approval for that unit has stirred up quite a bit of interest as your news flash gets rel...

It kind of makes sense, why would the general public want or need a finger print scanner on their phone? ๐Ÿคจ
