THIS is bogus. NO Q9n (Napoleon) will be released by VZW, Motorola or any one else. Someone has simply dug up last year's news and reposted. Never came to fruition, wasn't meant to. The only release was to the US government.
We're merely reporting on the first available confirmed facts about it, and the fact that it was approved by the FCC.
There were some rumors about this device before, including a rumor that it was canceled. We have no confirmed info either way about its release or cancellation. We don't report on things we don't know for a fact.
Reading between the lines, it sounds like you're saying this was developed by Motorola and Verizon exclusively for government customers. That's interesting. Do you have any way we could verify that?

Rich, the Motorola staff who developed the A4500 sold off the test models before the Moto facility I mentioned earlier closed in NJ.
The unit was developed for Homeland Security according to that staff, and policy was to not release to the general public units developed for that branch of government.
There is no way to verify that information in a forum like this, but the publication of the 10/2008 FCC Approval for that unit has stirred up quite a bit of interest as your news flash gets rel...
