Sorry you guys but Not gonna happen- att has a contract with Apple for atleast 3 more years. this is just talk and rumors- att and Apple orginially signed a 5 year contract AND to my knowledge, they also just re-newed the contract for an additional 3 years soo SORRY guys, Not gonna happen for a loooooooooong time.

you are wrong you don't work for apple or att or verizon you really don't know what apple and verizon are up to they could make a different phone and sell it it doesnt have to be called the I-phone

well you both have valid points in my opinion.
it was disclosed that at&t and apple DID sign a 5 year exclusivity contract for the iPhone. Now what apple and verizon could do is making a tablet/netbook type device with a verizon 3g card preinstalled. This would not effect the iPhone agreement in any way shape or form.

or they cold make the iPhone 'Lite' or something goofy. Either way Apple is going to win because both carriers want Apple products

Not to say this isn't true, but where did you see this?
The exact number of years of the agreement has been kept very secretive. Lots of speculation (between 18 months and 5 years)

Apple has a long history of screwing over most of the companies they do business with. AT&T will be no different, nor will it be VZW in the future if they so do business with them.
