Basically, any of the iPhone knockoffs Verizon has been schlepping to stem the tide of Verizon defectors is going to see a huge decrease in sales once VZW customers have access to the real thing.

I sure hope they sell insurance on the Verizon iphone. I have a lot of at&t customers really unhappy when their iphone hits the floor or is stolen and at&t won't cover it. I like the iphone but would never own one unless they made a replaceable battery, a reason most businesses refuse to buy it..

Apple offers a service to replace the battery on any iPhone, and the warranty can be extended through AppleCare.

True, but unlike other cell phone insurance AppleCare does not cover loss or theft, water damage, or in my case Tequila damage when my girlfriend spilled her drink on my Palm 700p ☹️ .I do tell my customers to get Applecare but many of them get mad at me when their problem isn't covered by Apple, and thats about 10 customers a week.

not a major loss at all if you think about it. Some businesses still wont support the iPhone leaving those people going for Blackberry while people not wanting to be forced to buy a data plan will just get an LG or Samsung. I sell phones and I sell more regular touch phones on AT&T rather the iPhones because people just dont want to pay for the data.

All Smartphones that Verizon sells must have a data plan since the Centro 690 launched so no advantage on Verizon, I guess. I don't believe this story is true however. I think Apple planted this story to make AT&T up the ante on the exclusive agreement.

It's actually all the smartphones launched November 14th 2008 and newer. Palm Centro came before and can still use pay per KB. Blackberry Curve and Pearl are exceptions, they must have data. many features stop working proper without a Data connection.

you misunderstood me, I meant phones like the Voyager, Dare and Versa. When it comes to AT&T I sell lots of Vu's and Eternitys cause people want touch screens but don't want to dish out the 30 dollar data charge a month

Again, you are mistaken… The 3 phones that you mentioned DO NOT require any type of data package.. . Perhaps the reason that you are not selling them is because you did not take the time to learn them… 🤣 🤣

Oh, one more thing, Verizons data for dumb phones is only $15/month not $30
