Being that I work for Alltel in a non-divested market and have a friend working in a divested market. I know a few things about how Alltel is gonna work this, like they have 5-15-and 25 circle numbers as opposed to us switching to verizon still have 5-10-and 20. They have the add an aircard plan for $40 as opposed to $59 for normal. And they are the ones getting the Pearl Flip, not us going to Verizon, we will get the verizon branded one when it launches. I though will be going to the divested market and purchasing one straight out, when it does launch with them.
I will update if they change that decision to include all Alltel.
And here is the link to the webpage..

Actually, the aircard plans for the divested are still $59. The only way a customer can get it for $40 is if they add it as an add a line to a smartphone. Just wanted to clear that up in case someone reads it as it is $40 no matter what.

And as for the Pearl Flip, both will be getting it, but the Divested side will be getting it first as Alltel is going to be the first CDMA carrier to release the Pearl Flip.

No question both Alltel and Verizon will be getting this phone. Just not on the same day

Verizon is getting it. They are trying to get rid of ALL old BB's Pearl first.

I never meant to say both alltel and verizon were getting on same day. Just that both dev and non-dev would be getting it

To be honest, I can see all major players in the US carrying this phone sooner or later. Its an entry level device which seemed to have some QC issues when first released by TMO, now I think its a decent device for those who don't wish to spend a bunch of bux, or like the flip format.
