T-Mobile Crafts New 'Embedded SIM'
gsm trying to be cdma?
now that t-mobile is planning to put it inside their devices, will they be no different than the cdma counterpart?
i hope they're not trying to phase out sim slot. it's very small to bother them so i think they should just leave sim and its slot alone....
From front page:
The technology is not meant for consumers , but represents a new front for embedded, intelligent wireless devices.
For example, the t-mobile cameo could have a built in sim card that is smaller. Since it is GSM it will run off of a sim card but since it is a picture frame you wouldnt be switching out the sim card to other devices.

@home phones with sim cards? Where did you hear this? They have the router and adapter already, i dont see the use of having a phone unless it has a bunch of features built into it like the verizon hub.
Rumor is that T-mobile is planing on doing something similar to the verizon hub, but with a detachable tablet running Android. So a tiny built in SIM would be perfect for that.
