Better on at&t than vzw...
I'm going to play devil's advocate and say that if the iphone stays with ONE carrier, I'd rather the iphone stay on at&t rather than vzw...the price of the iphone is not as bad as it used to be but if i would pay "iphone" money for a phone, it's best on a gsm network. vzw just loves to lock down phones with that ugly UI. On the other hand apple and at&t do restrict the device but not as bad and not with a carrier based UI. cell phone companies in the u.s need to realize that it is not their job to police what a subscriber does with their device with the exception that it is illegal like kiddie porn or hacking a data base etc etc. To be fair, Tmobile removed tethering apps from the android market for the G1...they claim it's to ensure everyon...

I'll make this simple:
Iphone=smartphone (at least as far as UI is concerned)
Verizon does nothing to change smartphone UI.

Blackberries
Windows Mobile Devices
Palm Devices
Apple would fall into that category, not into the category of LG, Motorola (non-smartphones) etc.
