AT&T Seeking to Extend iPhone Exclusivity in U.S.
Bring Iphone to Verizon!!!
any agree? Iphone on Verizon Network.
The boulder had battery issues, so now it ships with a free extended battery. If you want a phone that will stand up to almost anything you can throw at it, you'll be hard pressed to find a more capable device than the boulder.
Pantech makes cheap stuff, you get what you pay for.
But on top of that, those companies:
1)Allow asurion to insure their phones
2)Allow V...

As a current iPhone owner, the signal strength is outstanding. I have a Sony Ericsson K550i and Blackberry Pearl on AT&T for comparison and the iPhone trounces both handily. As a phone it also works better than anything Verizon has on their network in the real world. It's not even close.
As for the others, Apple's pricing strategy was extremely successful. It has kept the device from being RAZR-discounted and has also allowed Apple to add new features instead of just abandoning the original. No other p...

Most LG phones except the VX8700, VX8600, and on occasion the Chocolates.
Blackberry Pearl, Curve, World Edition
NOKIA Mirage, Intrigue
These phones, according to user experiences, perform better in the reception department than the sea of phones available on Verizon.
Blackberry Storm performs average. Also, it has more powerful features than the iPhone, and if you spend more than 10 minutes cussing at its button click touchscreen and learn to use it there is a lot of potential. And if typing is too slow, you need to get a phone with buttons because that unlimited texting plan isn't going to make it easy on ANY touchscreen only phone.

1) I've had excellent AT&T customer service
2) Apple's replacement plan isn't any worse than Lock/Line in terms of price, but far better in terms of service.
3) The Camera on the Storm is worse than the 2MP unit on the iPhone
4) Text input on the iPhone is far superior- it's actually usable, the Storm's isn't.
5) Way more robust applications with the iPhone. The Storm basically runs glorified Java, which is very weak by comparison. That's why the Storm is never going to offer the breadth of applications of the iPhone, because it simply runs a weak OS.
6) iPhone offers no MMS (though I guess t...

Nice try though... at least you didn't waste your post on a creative retort.
GPS is unlocked on all smartphones as of several months ago. Update the software to the new OS and enjoy Google maps on your phone to your hearts content.
And now, that doesn't count. Because both those features are hardware based. The "ROFL" guy was talking about the verizon UI that is standard on all dumbphones.
Verizon wouldn't even let BB include wi-fi on their version.
8820 is GSM
Please show me where Verizon blocked wifi. If you find anything, it will be with a tinfoil hat.
Instead it was more likely that the 8820 was requested to have wifi because ATT and Tmobile both offer WiFi hotspots in addition to their cell towers to compensate for their (then) small 3g network. they have these hot spots built into their wireless plans, so it is a marketing point for them.
Not only did verizon roll out 3g faster, but they also don't have these WiFi Hotspots (that ATT and Tmobile generate a lot of revenue from no-subscribers who used their laptops their). Wifi is not a feature that Verizon requires on their phones, so it is up to a company if they want to include the feature, or save some m...

One would hope that the iPhone would qualify as a smartphone, but since we're talking about Verizon there's no guarantee.
Plus then there's the whole VCast and VZ Navigator issue.

Verizon earned their reputation for a craptastic UI - but nice try at diverting attention away from that.
You're post is made assuming that everyone hates the UI, when in fact a majority of users enjoy the UI and prefer it. I really had an easy transition going from my LG 7000 to my Samsung a950.
In the end, if a few wannabe techgeeks have to suffer so we get our wonderful UI, then so be it. And, if you are that adiment about having a phone with a different UI then stop being cheap and get a higher end phone, something along the lines of a Dare, Omnia, Blackberry, etc.
verizon's UI gets a lot of complaints, and i'm not a fan, but I've had a ton of customers who love the fact that they don't have to re-learn their phone everytime they upgrade. I do with they had an option to remove it, but a lot of people love it.
All smartphones now have their gps unlocked, so vz navigator is just an option and you can get blackberry maps is you want.
Vcast is mainly for dumbphones. You use BiS or Bes for blackberries.
I'm guessing carriers will be using some sort of advanced VOIP program for voice transmissions.
Technically, WiMAX and LTE are supposed to be compatible within the 4G specification, so 4G phones should theoretically be able to roam on any 4G network.
