AT&T Seeking to Extend iPhone Exclusivity in U.S.
Other Carriers

They also, unlike Sprint, have decent phones.
BUT ZOMG IT'S 3G!!!
It took 45 seconds for a Sprint Music Store purchase (I don't know the size, I'm willing to guess it was much smaller, sorry.)
That's not the most scientific example, and it could've been server issues, but yeah, in this real world scenario it makes a poor case for Sprint's network.
1.2Mbits for Sprint, 1.6Mbits for AT&T. In real world usage, AT&T's network latency over 3G is amazingly low as well.
My tests back this up as well. 3G on the iPhone is a way better experience than 3G on ANY Sprint device.

I clocked a 17 second download for a 9.8MB file over iTunes on the South Carolina 3G AT&T network right now. That's pretty damn good.
You achieved a 4.6 Mbps download on AT&T 3G?
Has AT&T deployed HSDPA 7.2 in SC? Do you have an HSDPA 7.2 capable device? If not, then your download referenced above did not happen the way you say it did.

Shortly after the iPhone's 1-year anniversary, some Apple rep was at a convention bragging about having sold 10 million units. It happened to be within earshot of a Nokia exec, who turned and said "10 million units? We've sold that many since last Friday."
Despite all the hype, Apple is tiny in the cell phone market. Nokia isn't huge in the US, but it is still bigger than Apple.
