Symbian^3... better or worse than S60?
I enjoyed both S80 and S60 immensely. Some of the features that Eric lists as negatives of S60 are actually some of the features I appreciate the most about S60. I love S60 3rd Edition, especially Feature Pack 2. My current phone (a Nokia E75) does not have any issues or insurmountable problems to speak of. It does not crash, it does not pause for long periods of time when the screen rotates, it takes pictures in a snappy manner, and everything works properly (including the browser).

S^4 is not a continuation of anything by the way. It's a clean break from the past, however, any Qt created apps for S^3 will be able to run on S^4, so you don't lose total compatibility with previous OS apps.
You CAN sync contacts and calendar using Microsoft Exchange. Somebody doesn't know what they're talking about.
but i think the n8 is capacitive(?)
and they moved to non-removable batteries to make it thinner. its not very friendly for people who like buying non-original batteries but im guessing they are so confident in their battery tech that it wont break easily...
one thing that i like about nokia's pioneer products is that they always get support from nokia...in fact the 5800 still was getting updates well after 2 years(last january i think). so i think they'll treat the n8 the same way...
