I honestly don't see how it could be any worse than the line-up Sprint has had recently. The Rumor, Rumor 2, Rant, Lotus, High-note etc all having huge issues with moving parts. I'm amazed it took this long for Sanyo to jump into the messaging device arena.
As long as there isn't a slide or a hinge I think I'd be happier with it.

not sure where you are getting your information from, but the rumor is the only one of those phones that has had a problem with mechanical issues.
