I've actually got my hands on the SW that will be shipping out to the carriers and on their shelf later in April and early May when the device is launched. The phone's UI is smooth and fast and the transitions are fluid. Also I haven't seen any freezes. I really don't care about the lack of MMS; I've noticed how much I don't use MMS when I don't have it. Apple was pretty smart not doing it for the first 10M iPhones they sold.

The features on evoke are quite cool and unique. I love the integration of Picasa Web Albums and YouTube into the UI. Also the Widget home screens are awesome. Add in the embedded email client, HTML browser and threaded text messaging I think the device's UI / apps are quite compelling.
