Hack/firmware update to enable voice?

This is just speculation, but what are the chances that voice could be activated on the tab via either a firmware update or a hack? There was a photo on Engadget a while back showing the Tab with a dialpad app on the screen, so I'd guess there was at least one version of it with a full phone capability.

How much power does firmware hackery have? Any guesses (educated or otherwise)?

It's the international version that has voice.

Short of VOIP, I don't see this thing getting voice in the states

Hmm... so I can buy an unlocked version that will have the voice capability? Even better!

Now the wait for it to come out through a 3rd party dealer for something approaching a reasonable price...

Unlocked means retail pricing.

Third party retailers have no reason to sell them for anything less because they don't get any benefit for doing so. No 3rd party dealer for tmobile/att will sell it becuase their contract won't let them, and it won't offer american 3g.

If you want the version of the tab that HAS voice capability, you'll need to import one from europe (around $1000) and it will only have EDGE/wifi connectivity here, no 3g on any US carrier.
