Well, I suppose I should be happy, seeing as I've just been saved the anguish of waiting for this ... device (?), and will be spared the brutal cost of buying one through AT&T when it comes out.

But still.... SOOOooooo close to being the everything device I've been wanting for so long: a mobile word processor, email device, music/media player, phone (I'd use it very infrequently for voice, more SMS for me), and GPS. 4 out of 5, but missing the most important 1 I'd need it to replace.

I suppose I'll have to wait & dream for the iPad 2.0, which will feature voice calling in addition to 3g data....

I bought the EVO about two months ago because as a large man I was attracted to a large device. When I saw the Samsung Tab I thought oh crap here goes another couple of hundred dollars THEN seeing that it has NO voice... It was like that commercial where the rattlesnake is approaching a rabbit and he has a baby rattle at the end of his body and all the bunnies come out to laugh their butts off at the ridiculous site...

Thank you Samsung for saving myself and thousands of the PPC Geeks a ton of cash by releasing this handicapped device that will be destined for the Island of Misfit Toys. Muh ha ha ha ha. Rotf lmao.

you know, its funny how out of touch large corporations can be. no voice service = no sale. i agree they should have a wifi only version of this. but US customers should have the option. this went from a "must have" to a "no way". P.S. i also read that sprint made it even better by adding that this thing also wont support their 4g service.

Yup. They really had the chance to at least try to put a dent in Apple you know. But of course, as always they had to be stupid by omitting voice calls and 4G. BIG FAIL. The point is to show Apple where they went wrong, not copy them completely. At least it has a camera and supports Flash. But the latter is due to Android. Whatever
