I still like the Pre better

This is a huge step forward for iPhone in becoming an actual, modern day cell phone and not just a MID w/ cell capabilities. I am excited for the Palm Pre and hope that they bring it to Verizon for my upgrade w/in a yr or 2.

Funny....you said only problem, and I don't see any in your post...

Anyway, I guess it's a step forward for Apple, but it's ridiculous that it's taken this long in the first place.

MMS is a standard feature. This is like LG announcing that the 5500 can make and recieve calls.

Yeah, that summed it up pretty well. On last check, since MMS existed every top of the line phone has done it.

Except the iPhone.

That phone there can do Picture Messages. It was just a simple (the simplest) phone I could think of from the top of my head. How can something so Simple and Cheap do something that a High-End High-Tech iPhone cant? Shame...

Well until a few months ago none of Sprint's winmo phones could MMS. The iPhone missed a couple of features but it changed the wireless game forever. The iPhone, hate it or love it, was a revolutionary device and all the other manufacturers have been scrambling to make something like it or better. Although many have tried, fact is that none of them have been able to match apple's ease of use and functionality. On paper they have all the bells and whistles BUT neither the Voyager, Storm, G1, Dare, or Instinct have measured up. The Palm Pre and their new operating system does look very promising though. Cannot wait to get mine because winmo is bloated and does not move snappy in any phone. I own a Touch Pro and this device would have be...

That "ease of use" thing is probably the most garbage argument ever. I've never had a hard time using my Instinct. It's not like it requires me jumping on my right foot while eating a taco on a Tuesday in July. Why is the iPhone easy to use? You see a button, and you press it with your finger. How do you use the Instinct? You see a button, and you press it with your finger.

The "Ease of Use" argument is only there so that people can try to justify their more expense inferior device. It's basically saying "You might have a better phone and have proven it using quantifiable arguments (network speeds, features), but my phone is easy to use (an unquantifiable and entirely subjective claim)!"

Personally I prefer to refer to them as Verizon crackheads, cause they're all doped up on Verizon and have NO sense of reality.

This undoubtedly will make it considerably less expensive for the user to operate.

How you gonna like the Pre better when it's not even out yet, and nobody was able to really test it since it's still in beta. And at launch, you won't be able to expand the usability of the phone because their App Store version won't be ready.

Your headline is a retarded statement: You cannot possibly like a phone you've never played with/owned more than a phone that's been on the market for awhile. That's just a physical impossibility.

You like the videos of the phone, and you like the concept of the phone, but until you've actually used the phone, you can't like it better than an existing phone. Please.

My biggest problem w/ this site is that everyone gets so damned upset when someone doesn't like a device as much as they do. I am not a VZW fanboy, I get a discount through work w/ them and actually switched to them about a year ago. I have had great network coverage w/ them at my house which is better than I can say about the other networks that operate in my area. Its not about being a fanboy, but actually being able to use the device as it is intended, to stay connected. Your right chainmail, I like the idea of the palm pre but so does everyone else that is excited about the phone. I like the idea about it being built on html code so that your "cards" are always up to date. I like that it has a physical keyboard. I like its quick, res...
