Apple Revises Applications and Apps Store Functions
There will be turn by turn Apps... but I dont think they are allowed to use Google Maps...
Navteq doesn't license maps to Google for turn by turn. That is why Google maps doesn't have realtime turn by turn and Google maps is a free product. Navteq makes money licensing the maps to Garmin, Tom Tom, etc.
AndNav 1 for Android was a victim of this. It used Google maps. So AndNav 2 uses freeware maps... but it isn't as good.
