No EVDO still?!?!
This update still does not add EVDO data? Come on!

Yong and Dan were too busy between the sheets to oversee their product development departments.

Looks like a 'poor' version of an HTC pro.

I honestly don't see the point of this phone at all. Back when the first Rumor came out, it was billed as a Mid-End phone because of the MP3 player and the high resolution camera. But, at this point there are high-end Sprint phones that do a lot more than the Rumor2 and they cost the same amount.
So I question why anyone would want the Rumor2 over something like the Samsung Rant. Even for folks who don't need the extra internet features, I would say pay a little more for the memory card and the better camera.
I dunno...

because the "unofficial" market for this phone is under the age of 17, and those "tweens" that just "have to have" this phone, have parents that won't let them even think about getting on line. its suppose to be a cheap option for parents to purchase for their "gotta have a texting phone" kids.

But the flaw to that is both phones can access the internet. I think the Rant actually does a good job because instead of premium features like SprintTv and Sprint Music Store being easily accessed on the main menu, they are filed in an Entertainment folder. So you would have to knowingly go into that folder to get use them. Otherwise, the two phones are identical in ways to get online...click the internet globe. The Rumor2 has less features for the same price...

This thing looks like the rant way too much. This phone will do well obviously, and can't have a much higher price if at all than the rant does currently. This will sell to everyone that was in love with their horrible rumor and thinks that a new one will replace it.

The phone is directed at the Tween's, I sold the first Rumor for Sprint and had a lot of parents pick up the phone too. The Rumor 2 is gonna have different back plates and an extra row of keys to make texting easier! This phone will have a broad appeal..

Except for the almost million people that bought the first one. To many issues with the first one. We wont sell nearly as many of number 2. Same thing with the Motoroloa VE20. The first RAZR sucked so badly that no one will buy the new one, even though it's a decent phone.
