No 3g, what Crap

Crap, dated crap, old crap. No 3g? Damned, Moto screwed the pooch on this one.

Considering it's intended market niche which wouldn't include users that like to stream TV all day, the lack of 3G would be less important.

Still many current phones coming to market without 3G in them

Not so much smartphones, this lack of umts/hsdpa basically ruled out it being on AT&T.

The competition from HTC, to SE, to Palm all have 3g radio's in their WM Pro devices. Even the new Garmin/Asus WM Smartphone has it.

It's almost like the original concept for this phone might have been headed for Nextel, since data speed is not part of this phone, and maybe they switched to GSM early on in the development when they saw Nextel headed down the tubes.

All of the attributes are very Nextel-like, incl no provisions for high-speed data.

I'm just guessing, of course, sheer speculation.
