not for new customers...
so, i'm porting over to tmo, and i see nothing on the site about getting the credit. after completing the transaction, order done i called to question this.
i was told what i had initially thought, that this credit is only if it's being ported into an existing acct. with the wording used in the phonescoop article, "T-Mobile is also offering a $135 credit for new customers who switch from another network operator." it misled me to believe any new cust would get that credit.
don't get me wrong, i want tmo (more so the G1) and i appreciate the fact they reward loyalty. i just wanted to point this out for others so any misunderstanding can be squashed.

One of the main reasons you should ALWAYS buy from the store. We actually know information here (depending on who you talk to).

emphasis on the depending... but, i do agree, a company store at least, often authorized agents care more about the bottom line then the cust and accurate information. this isn't always true, but a good rule of thumb.

A HUGE emphasis on the "depending". If you ever feel as if the sales rep isnt payng attention or doesn't care.... you're 100% right. Most sales reps do not care at all unless they are making some money out of it. Most customers do not realize that the people in the store are not customer service reps... they are SALES reps and want to sell.
