Verizon is so considerate to want to protect their customers. Ha, are any of those customers going to see money for this? Nope...it's gonna go right into vzw's fat pockets. I seriously think that they pray/prey for stuff like this to happen.

Im sure if Vzw wins the case (which it seems like they will) they will most likely kick out a X amount of minutes to all its users who may have been effected by these Auto-Calls.

I dont see reason to kick out money unless some of those calls pushed my customers over there minutes. At which point, if you call and ask, they can check to see if you was in the calling area that got hit. If you was, they can simply issue you a credit & some minutes.

How many customers you think called up about this for Vzw to look into it? Now, what did Vzw have to give those customers to keep them happy? Ok, now, as you can see, Vzw has already done a few things. That money would simply be a way for them to get back what they have already lost due to this ...

It could be worse. AT&T's customer marketing is more proliferate than a bunch of bunny rabbits. They call constantly to upgrade your services. At least Verizon tries to protect the consumer from such proliferance.

Naw, not telemarketers, he/she talking about AT&T themselves.....

Which, I can be witness too. My Co-Workers iPhone tells him (a *minimum* of once a day) that he can Add-a-Line & Upgrade (in 2 seperate messages).

I think this is what that response was about Cinner. I can see how that would be a problem.

Gotcha. For the record, yes, I've gotten the text messages a few times (aren't they free? Annoying, but free none-the-less?).

That said, at&t has never CALLED me though. I guess that would be the distinction I was making since the story was regarding calls from these telemarketers. 🙂

Only time I ever got a call from AT&T was after getting a new phone and or service plan to make sure things are OK, not to sell me anything. BTW, got the same CS call from TMO when I got a G1.

Yes I do get occasional free text from AT&T some service related, some for some offer and the later maybe once a year or so.

As far as email, I get them from all the carriers, Sprint, VZW, TMO and AT&T. On a not so often basis. Heck, VZW still emails me to see if I wish to come back, and that was like 4 or 5 years ago. And to be honest, none of them bother me. I never mind getting email from companies I do business with. Be it AT&T, Newegg or whomever.

BTW, I applaud what VZW is doing to these telemarketers, and I don't think there is some hidden agenda conspiracy on their part. I would hope all the carriers would do the same.
