Fireworks Through a Screen Door

The Samsung Super AMOLED displays are like looking through a screen door.

Although everything looks very 'poppy' , this is the worst screen of anything this resolution. The Droid Incredible has a 'slight' screen door effect- on the Epic 4G it's -significantly- worse than any other phone sold today in that price range, especially with any white/black text combination.

Seriously we get it...If it was the best phone on the planet you'd still find something to complain about.

gldnhrtrblfst and rarodrig26: Why couldn't you just ignore him??? I was tempted to respond to but you know what, it would have made a better statement to ignore him completely.

Oh boy! C'mon!!! I work for AT&T, and I'm the first in line to complain about iPhones! They have major issues! Be realistic! Eventhough it has nice, useful features, you can't be blind enough to find out that this phone kicks iPhone's a$$! Maybe they're side-by-side on screen resolution (I bet Epic's a lil' better), but it has nicer features! I know that, in order to be happy with what you have you must be the first one to think that what you have is the best, you have to admit that they have issues! It's not perfect! It's like thinking that a Yugo can beat a Ferrari or a Lambo in a race just because you have one! Knock it off dude! be realistic!

Now, I'm not saying that iPhone is the worst phone ever, it's good! It looks nice, has nice feats, great screen resolution, great camera resolution, nice OS, etc... But it's obvious that it has issues, and wether fans or detractors, we have to admit its pros & cons, and this goes not only for iPhone fans, but for Android fans, webOS fans, BB fans and WinMo fans as well...

Wrong on the screen resolution. Not even close.
Epic
Resolution: 480 x 800 pixels
iPhone 4
Resolution: 640 x 960 pixels. The retina display whoops everything out now.

Resolution doesn't tell the whole story. Put the Epic screen beside the iP4 screen, and then see which is better. The colour, clarity, and brightness of the super AMOLED is amazing. You can't see the glass. It looks like you can touch whatever is on the screen. With the iP4, you can still tell you're looking through a couple of layers of glass and air. Colours look washed-out, compare to super AMOLED, as well.

Characters and fine lines are crisper on iP4, but that's about all you can say for it.

Retina just doesn't compare.

Tell that to iPhone enthusiasts... They will never understand that iPhone's best capability was easily beaten by this Epic phone... 😈

i have today. and u can put all kinds of facts for or against the screen, but unlike blue@$$hole. i think the screen is really top notch, on par with if not better than the iphone, or any other smartphone out there. i was a lil disappointed with the keyboard, i wish it was a little more solid and snappier when u slided it though. that being said, the camera was smooth, the operation flawless, and it is my next phone for sure.
