I could go back and pick out dozens of quotes that say "blackberry is old and needs new software" well AT&T has it. Blackberry is never first to a feature, but when they do release its flawless. unless ofcourse its for verizon and sounds like you're playing "trouble" TM everytime you click it. I'm still happy AT&T passed on the storm and let verizon have it. Looking forward to it! but where's flash 10.1?

Bow down huh? How about I just let my HTC Incredible continue to mercilessly teabag every blackberry... ever.. and its not even the best android phone anymore.
Have fun with AT&T's flawed data plans you fool.

Stay classy, MacMill.

Yeah no offense but first off, you're talking about an HTC- they don't make a single phone that works properly. I can't think of another manufacturer with such crappy user experience and quality control.
I wouldn't even count on anything HTC makes for my personal use, and I damn well would never use it on the business side. You know that Blackberry model that dies after 4 hours of usage? Neither do I.
( I came to a Blackberry after suffering through numerous HTC handsets and was willing to sacrifice a camera, media playback, and a lot of advanced functionality other smartphones were touting in exchange for something where every advertised feature actually worked. )

Well, I'm no "hater". I own stock in RIM, and I'm Canadian, but I've got to say that I'm not surprised in the stock dip. I don't think it's solely due to the overseas BBM crap. I can't begin to describe how underwhelmed I am by the Torch, and by BB6 OS. They improved things, and almost caught-up to iOS and Android 2.1/2.2, but they didn't innovate a single thing further.
I wish I sold my stock a few weeks ago. Now I'm not sure I'll ever see the stock go above what I paid for it. They'd better come out with something better than the Torch, and F-ing quick.

Those flawed data plans that your precious Verizon is looking into doing as well because they're struggling to support the smaller amount of smartphone users they have now?

The Blackberry Storm was true crap and soured my opinion of RIM. I think it was damaging to their brand.
Although RIM has never been about having the highest-end specs, they should've had this out on the market two years ago. It's finally a welcome evolution of the Blackberry, but all I can think about is how much time they wasted with the Storm.

The storm was not a RIM idea, it was Verizon's answer to the iPhone. This is what RIM had in mind when they wanted to make a touch screen device. The Storm's clicking screen was just a bandaid to allow for os5 to be able to process the touch screen inputs, it was still a keyboard phone at heart that they released just to keep Verizon happy.
...
Thank you!
Verizon deserved full blame for the storm.

Actually, no phone is without is flaws, Bold 9000 likes to reset itself or freeze, and the Storm had memory leak problems soo please reframe from making uneducated comments!!!

@ Tomb1312, you can't be serious? ๐คจ Bow Down? AT&T? That is likes buying a 36 inch CRT tube TV and telling your friend who owns a 60 inch LED flat TV to bow down. I owned a BB Curve 8300 for over a year and it was a solid device and never failed me, but Blackberry is years behind Android technology. Stop hanging on to the past. Blackberry had a good run and RIM made a lot of money, but technology waits for no man. Remember Nokia? ๐ Do yourself a favor and buy a HTC Incredible or a Druid X on Verizon's network; you won't look back.
...
Pretty sure the title taunts bb haters and not android users. Your analogy is pathetic.
Thanks for the curve "plug." I accept.
Nokia? Seriously? They are the number one phone manufacturer in the World! You give Americans a bad name by being so self absorbed. The FCC regulations are too strict for Nokia to bother. They release amazing phones nearly every month. Don't you read phonescoop.com?
RIM is not going anywhere. Their corporate technology has deep roots. Android isn't interested in that market.
The HTC Incredible is a great phone, we agree. Now for the hurtful part. HelloMotto. Motorola is awful. Every aspect of that company is awful. What is the "Druid X?"
Your arguments are misplaced and folly.
I've saved the best for last......

@Tomb1312, just who are the BB haters? I don't know any. Everyone loves Crackberrys. As I stated in my previous post, my last phone was a BB Curve until I upgraded to the HTC Incredible (Android), but I returned it for the Droid X (Android) because of the bigger screen. In fact, I waited and waited for Verizon to get the BB Bold because the BB Tour was crap. When the BB Bold finally released for Verizon I went in the store and played with but it was downright sluggish and dull compared to the HTC Incredible. BB stood out for its ability to process text messages and e-mail, but nowadays-even lower end device have the same ability. So now, BB has to rely on its user interface, which is outdated and boring. On top of that, BB latest release (Bl...

You can't compare the 9800 with an android device. the goals are very different. One is a toy and the other a work horse. It's just nice that the web browser and the Maps will work a lot better. BB6 doesn't need 1ghz.
p.s. Motto...HAHA. You spelt Motorolas Motto wrong.

For Sprint's version of the Torch... it's probably going to be 4G. BOOYAH!
...
I thought hellomotto's post was bad. This is just foolish.
...
@ tomb
true
its almost funny how people believe in "4g"
credit's probably shot and could only get sprint

It's nice but nothing new. They just caught up with the rest of the smartphones. Nothing new and innovative.
They will need to come up with something completely new in order to grab some ground back that they have lost to other companies.
...
This phone is new for them. And for most bb users, that's good enough! Last time I checked, they were still #1....
...
I can't wait to see a CDMA version of this phone! I've been a BB fan for years, and I for one am glad they take their time making changes.
Long live RIM! ๐
