Actually with any family share of 1400 or higher, you can call 10 people with no extra charge.

5 is only for individual lines of 900 or more.

And if you have more than one individual line on the same account, they share the 5 each.

It is Shocking! 😳 I have sold Verizon since 2001, to not charge anything or have the customer committ again to a new contract to get this awesome promotion is really really nice!! 😁

But it's only for 900 minute + plans...we have a family shared plan with 700 (most of the family and friends have verizon) and we barely use those...having no charge for landline calls would be sweet, but I can't get with without increasing my monthly charge...not worth it for me.

you will be in the minority tho. ppl on 3000 or 4000 minute plans can drop down to 1400 min and save HUGE. or ppl who need to call others ppl not on verizon can talk their asses off without ever having to worry about MINUTES. or ppl who are on 99 unlimited can possibly go down to 900 minutes and save 40 bucks a month do to the 5 unlimited. the benefits are endless!

TMobile's plan still seems to be a better deal but this is big coming from one of the big 2. ATT will have to at least match this if they are going to compete now and I dont know what to say about Sprint. Looks like their days might be numbered unless they add 5 lines to their everything plans. Either way ATT and Sprint are probably shaking in their boots right now.

Besides having free M2M in addition to faves (unlike TMOB) and having 80 million in comparison to TMOB's 2000 or something....

The biggest difference is you can change them at any time. Not just once a month. 😛

T-Mobile's plan is not better... With T-Mobile you either can have my five favs or mobil to mobile. You cannot have both. With the friends and family plan you get both with no additional charge. Imagine being on the 2100 minute plan because you have 3 phones and most of the people you call are VZW customers, but your in-laws have Sprnt... and your wife talks to them constantly. You can now drop down to the 1400 min plan and add their numbers to your friends and family plan and you dont have to worry about overage and you save $20 a month.

"With T-Mobile you either can have my five favs or mobil to mobile. You cannot have both"

not true

all tmobile family plans offer m2m, even the mf plans. individual plans can add m2m for 6.99 at any time.

additionally, if you compare end pricing on all levels (including feature add ons), you will see that tmobile still has better pricing...accross the board.

get your facts before you speak so firmly.

They may have better pricing across the board, but in the US they consistantly have the worst coverage. Not my opinion. Actual research.

so, what does coverage have to do with price???????????

From the carrier side, a larger coverage area has higher maintenance costs.

From the customer side, a larger coverage area means you get better service as you travel.

If all you do is stay in one city and never go on vacation, you may as well get a plan from a carrier that only services your area for a cheaper price.

Of course, there's also reliability to take into account.

i agree...as a part of the total package.

but coverage and price seperately have nothing in common with eachother in the eye of the customer. both are important, but for very very different reasons to very different customers.

it just annoys me when i will train associates on competetive pricing and they bring up the coverage. I just think "what the F does coverage have to do with price???" we will talk coverage when we talk about coverage...right now we are talking about price...HELLO!

just "slightly" annoying 😉

Ok, I have my facts straight.

TMobile's deal is a very good deal. Too bad their coverage footprint is absolutely horrible. Tmobile is a bargain basement provider.

With Verizon's coverage, this change will not only benefit alltell subs but people on VZW. I am shocked to admit I agree with cellenator.

Tmobile does not have a very strong network presence which makes their offerings a nice gesture but woefully lacking.

ok i work for tmobile so let me set the record straight on verizon vs. tmobile

tmobile plan in comparision for 90 dollars has 1000 minutes unlimited m2m and 5 myfaves numbers per line

verizon plan plan for 90 dollars for 1400 minutes unlimited m2m and the 10 numbers per account

but if im not mistaken ft unlimited text for tmobile is 20 dollars!

u cant beat that but 80 million customers vs 35 million is tough to match

coverage though u might want to do your research on that here is now the rank nation wide by jd power as well as consumer report

1.verizon
2.tmobile
3.att
4.sprint

and everyone knows customer service is tmobiles bread and butter and with the option to go prepaid month to month and long term makes tmobi...

true true a wins a win lol i always say to be the best u have to bet the best one step at a time but i tell u the new deal isnt bad the 10 numbers per account is more than enough hell verizon has 80 million customers i guess att and sprint will be out of business soon

Verizons unlimited text is 20.00 (30.00 family) but ours has Text, Picture, Video, and IM.

Doesnt T-Mobile have just unlimited text for like 15.00? But thats only Text, not pic, video, im.

Tmobile does not have better nationwide coverage than ATT and Sprint. That is not even arguable. Have you even compared their maps to ATT and Sprint? Was your statement a joke, because that is absolutely ridiculous. 🤣

Haha funny the people don't do there research before they make comments to me.....now since I have to repeat my STATEMENT to some idiots in here....based on jd power and consumer report take at the beginning of this year tmobile placed 2nd OVERALL in the major markets now where u live is in question but I know this business I don't just say stuff....now att and sprint have WAY better 3g towers now but that doesn't = LESS DROPPED CALLS plus tmobile and verizon are the only two company's to not lay off people this year I bet your one of those people that jump ship for phones don't be a hater I give credit where credit is due for all companies

mccants...i agree. people don't do the research at all. they don't even read the whole post before they trip balls.

then again, one must realize that jd power may be recognizable, but it is not reliable. not in reality.

most surveys done by carriers are even worse.

Both of you are the idiots. You said that based on jd power and consumer report that TMOBILE has better "nationwide coverage than ATT and Sprint". Better call quality and coverage are 2 different things. JD Powers has a call quality category. Show me a link that says anything about Tmobile having better "nationwide coverage".

You 2 should probably remove your foot from your mouths.

Naw,

ATT is not shaking in their boots. They will just do what they usually do...wait for Verizon to do it, and then copy them. 3G, Mobile TV, GPS Services, mobile to mobile messaging, unlimited messaging, backup assistant/mobile backup, ringback/answertones, unlimited calling, and the list goes on and on. So, they are not scared, they will just offer the same thing.
