...to the new era of hand held devices. It's funny how I couldn't wait to use my laptop on the go for business, now I long to ditch the laptop for this technology. I have said that HTC is underated and a force to reckon with. We shall see how many people feel about normal phone use once this picks up speed. I can see windows gaining a new attraction amoungst the nay sayers.

This is an awesome step forward for us "I want everything in the palm of my hand" people.

This is making me crazy. So many good phones are coming out and there is so much more potential to come. G1 has so much potential, for me windows phones brought me into the pda world. just like my pc at home there's so many custom set ups I can do. Highend cameras like the Memoir, and now the 1ghz processors of snapdragon chips. Everytime I decide on upgrading something else catches my eye. I'm just waiting for someone to put together everything I want. Windows mobile, a highend camera, and a fast processor. HTC where you at?

HTC is an absolutely a awesome company that specializes in hand held computation. We can expect them to capitalize on this new era. I stick with Windows for the...

I'm curious how these 1GHZ Snapdragon chips will effect already heavy demand on under performing batteries.

Batteries still in February 2009 have a very, very long ways to go both in laptops and multimedia cell phones.

I carry around 2 spare batteries in my pocket for my much used Nokia N95.

Btw, I'm surprised more fellow Phone Scoopers aren't discussing this. This is really, really BIG news in bridging the gap between laptop PCs and Smartphones.

"This is an awesome step forward for us "I want everything in the palm of my hand" people. "

Didn't I say that in our last conversation? Are trying to steal my ideas? Just kidding.

I totally agree with you. I cant wait to see what HTC and WinMo can do with these new processors. I think HTC might just start getting the attention they deserve.

I'm all about quote stealing!==lol==

HTC is not as popular for the younger gen because it somewhat lacks the "bling" and Windows is not completely understood. If it takes a learning curve, they don't want to learn. This is amazing for the same that use windows on their PCs at home. Go figure. I maybe putting my self on a thin branch but I will ta...

I totally agree with you. I love my BB Curve. Ive made no secret of that. However, I love HTC and the only reason I havent bought the Fuze (aka Touch Pro) is cause of the economy and job secreity blah blah blah ect... You know the story. So, as soon as my job stables out and I know what Im going to be makeing, I am deffinetly going out and getting a HTC. WinMo isnt a bad OS, its just different and misunderstood. I usually pass the learning curve in the first 5 minutes with a phone, so for me its no big deal. HTC makes products that are plenty "bling" and more than capible in the "function" as well. And with the addition of these new 1ghz chips, oh man, the sky is the limit.

P.S. I'll let you slide this time with the quote stealing, but do...

That's a tough question because of so much coming out. This news absolutely sparks interest in a new direction, but I am not so sure it will be enough to sway huge amount of average users to try this just yet. Apprehension during a tanked economy and new ways an individual must adapt to the new hand held devices takes time for adjustment. I think both the pre and the toshiba device amoung phone geeks, will definitely have some interest. But honestly it all will have to do with marketing. Who ever markets any of th...

Call me selfish but, I hope HTC doesn't get too big headed. When that happens you usually start to see when companies get too big it starts to be more about making money, think Motorola and razor. I mean seriously how many times can you remake the same thing...HTC makes a great product, and many of the 'misses' if you call them that, are from what I can tell cell phone carriers locking them down. Either way it'll be fun to see where they go. I just hope they keep evolving in leaps and bounds like they have been, and not in the path of the razr.
