So....

For people on old plans, they have to be with Sprint for 10 years... or...

Sign up for the Individual Simply Everything or Simply Data plans starting at $69.99 (which is eligible) or any of the Simply Family plans that start at like what, $120 and your in after 3 months?

3 Months Vs 10 Years! OMG

By the way, I was eligible for an upgrade IMMEDIATELY after I bought my phone from them, even after I already upgraded to another phone I was STILL eligible - so something is wrong with Sprint billing, and its in my favor this time!

As for the monthly perks - its the ALREADY FREE FOR EVERYONE content on Digital Lounge (dont let them fool you into thinking the crap is free only for you), and the "trips" are discounts for trips ...

I had to change my number a few months ago. Before I changed it, I was listed as a "premier" customer. When I changed my number, the "premier" label was gone from my online Sprint account. I'm on a 2-line basic family plan,$69.95 a month, I believe. Any ideas why my "premier" level disappeared just because I changed my number? I've been a customer since '04.

I don't believe that should've happened. It's not necessarily geared toward specific phone numbers, but it's an account level service. It could be that you were switched from a primary line to a secondary and that could've accidentaly wiped it. I would call and ask because if you're supposed to be preimere you shouldn't ever lose it.

Only other thought i have is that the premiere program did kind of change and now since you're new number is associated with too low of a plan at this time you might have to re-earn it, but these are just thoughts.

I've been a sprint customer since 1999!!! I've always been in good standing BUT I'm not a premier customer WTH...I've been waiting to upgrade, but still have another year to get full benefit. They say since my plan is not high enough, I do not qualify...Did I mention I've been a good standing customer since 1999!!!! WTH!!!

You must meet 1 of 3 qualifications:
1. Individual Rate Plan: $69.99 MRC or higher
2. Shared Rate Plan: $129.99 MRC or higher
3. Tenure as a Sprint Customer: 10 years

You must have 6 months of service with Sprint.
A 3 month avg. meeting the Individual or Shared Plan requirements above.

You don't have to be on one of the newer plans to qualify, you simply need to meet the MRC requirements above.

I spent 45 min on the phone and talked with 3 different people..i've been a good standing customer for 10 years (1999)..they say I can only be a premier customer if I change to a higher rate plan. I currently have 1000 min with unlimited text and internet for two lines @ $50.00 a month. I just want to take advantage of the full upgrade early. I think I deserve it!!

I totally agree. I would check the date that you started service in 1999, because until that date, it has not been 10 yrs and you would not have premier status. Once that date comes around it should be placed on your account.

Odds are you started mid to late 1999. Also if you've ever changed ownership it's likely that part of your time will not count. Most people don't realize that having an account under someone else's name does not count. It's been in your name, not a business, not a friend, not a family member, then you are probably closer than you think. Sprint's system more than likely will only show your normal upgrade until then. Be patient the company is putting thesethings into effect for customer's benefits. I think it sucks that the more a company tries to do for a customer the more they expect. If you don't get the discount by the end of the year then complain. Otherwise just be patient.

BTW this program is not even close to being new. It's actually been in place for the last year and a half at least. Sprint's had a great customer service plan for the last 2 years. Problem is none of the customers knew about it. I say what I've been saying all year Sprint needs to advertise their policies. Alltel ran that stupid commercial about contracts for changing plans for almost a year AFTER Sprint had changed it's policies to allow plan changes with no contracts. People that are with Sprint now are lucky. Since the merger the old Nextel higher ups have been fighting and they've finally gotten their message through. Sprint's changing their gameplan from let's make money to let's make customer's happy. Look for better phones...
