I never understood why companies don't allow customers who always pay their bill on time to do this. What do they have to lose? Customers would be more likely to get more expensive phones if they only had to pay, say $30 a month.

I agree, but I am wondering how this will work for all of their customers, eg. prime 2 year, upgrades, and FlexPay accounts. I want to use my girlfriends account upgrade to get the new 8900 when it comes out, and it would really help to be able to pay say $100 a month for a few months rather than shell it out all at once.

I was a customer on Sprint back in 2000 when Sprint did this, it was over the life of the contract and I bought a $500.00 phone, after like 3 payments I decided I didnt want to pay anymore, so I stopped paying. I canceled service, and then 6 months later I reactivated service with the same phone - by this point they already deleted my account and the fact I owed them money...

This is a program for people who are like me, cash strapped, want the new device, but also realize later on their bill is too big to be paying so they just stop paying.

You know what...

While I have friends at T-Mobile and want them to make the most bang for their activations...

Haha, I've been in cell phone sales for about 4 years and have to say I have very rarely lied to a customer. Sales is all about stretching the truth, no one NEEDS what you're selling half the time, but you have to make it sound like they do.

But I'm ok with being a souless demon 😈

Honestly, the people who MUST lie to customers are the ones who suck at sales. Sure, you might get a big paycheck every once in a while but have fun when coporate investigates you because of fraud or that customer you screwed over turns you in.

I've been doing sales a long time and if you actually tell a customer the truth and build a relationship with them, they will come back and buy from you again, as well as bring friends. Sounds cheesy but it's the way i've been top sales rep at every company/store i've ever woked at.

Oh and I want to thank all those sales reps from the bottom of my heart who chose to churn customers. I hope you are happy with your commission and love that its going to fade away over time since it is just costing...
