japanese kyoceras in the US?

this would be awesome, their japanese phones are very nice. almost non comparable to what we have gotten over here.

They're still going to design the US models in the US. I wouldn't expect Kyocera to suddenly start cranking out Japanese-style high-end phones in the US. The US teams will still be designing what US carriers want, which is generally more affordable phones.

However the engineering will now happen in Japan, so perhaps with those teams collaborating, some more Japanese tech influence might make its way into their US lineup. They also might get a bit more ambitious with higher-end phones, knowing that the Japanese teams have more experience with higher-end phones.

Again, though, I would not expect a dramatic change right away.
