Review: iPhone 4
My take
First off, I tend to agree with the author on the design of the phone. I've always been a huge fan of the iphones, and while I'm still getting the phone (waiting on the white) I'm not thrilled with the design when testing out my friends phone. I'll deal with it though.
As far as image quality - I was happy to hear that the authors tests came out great. I had compared image and video quality on my 3Gs vs the iphone 4 (my friends) and the 5 people in the office all agreed my 3GS images AND photos looked better - we were blown away and totally confused. Hopefully he has a faulty phone or something, haha.
The author mentions the ability to set custom tones to mail / txt messages, I still don't see that option. My "New Text Message" tone only displays default tones, I don't see my custom ring tones in there.
multi-tasking - I tried running/listening to my AOL Radio app, but as soon as I switched to another app (calendar, safari) my radio feed just ends. Umm?
Overall I truly thought the review was great. I agreed with most of it, and the other stuff is not so much that I disagree - more so stuff I mentioned above where I'm confused on getting it to work properly.
I'd still like to see a few features on the phone, which I would find incredibly useful, a few things off the top of my head such as:
- Flash support
- Create photo albums on phone
- Ability to password protect apps / folders
- A legit speakerphone
- Themes, themes themes!! Why can't we do this without jailbreaking??
- Custom mail/txt tones (already doable?)
- expandable memory would be nice
thats all I got for now - thanks for reading and thanks for the review!
