Actually, Qchat has had real world tests and the response times are actually on par with iden because Qchat relies specifically on CDMA Rev A, not Rev 0, so the Rev A gets much lower latency and faster speeds. So between Qchat on Sprint's CDMA EVDO Rev A network and the iden network using direct connect, the response times aren't even noticeably different. Around a second.
