This law doesn't really hurt anyone, however it does protect the rights of millions of women who are violated everyday. Secondly, this is one of the problems with the country, everyone thinks about how something will make them go out of their way, instead how it can help everyone as a whole. For the most part I think most of you are stand up people, on the other hand some of you are pretty stupid and can be jerks. I'm sure there of some of you who get off on jerking off to those secret pics you take on the bus, more than likely the ones who are so ferociously fighting this law as silly. There are plenty of silly laws, like speeding zones, most people don't follow the speed limit so why even bother. The point isn't to get you to follow t...

so you think that with all of the current things going on. 2 wars, the economic melt down, just to name a few. you think this is what the government should be spending its time on? making sure the phone goes click?

ps i feel little remorse for some female who dresses up in a skimpy top and a skirt who barely covers every thing standing up let alone bending over or sitting down. If you are going to dress like a prostitute you should get treated as such. If you are worried about someone perving you cover up! don't advertise any thing that is not fore sale!

I think you don't understand what is truly going on with the economy. The war we are in is stupid. It was made by a stupid administration who was voted in twice. TWICE I feel sorry only for people who didn't vote for Bush. All the others deserve what they voted for. There are few people who are in Iraq I feel sorry for. The simple reason is that after almost 8 years, people continue to sign up for the military, they make their own choice. Little comforts will go a long way. People have no trust in America. Everyone has the idea that their privacy is being invaded and they are right... Giving people their privacy back is a start to getting people confident back in the government and thus the economy. It's a very small thing but it ...

I guess you can't read. mcCain wasn't in office, wasn't voted in twice, and sure as hell has nothing to do with the war going on. Who's the dumbass now? 🙄

I understand what is going on in the economy has nothing to do with Bush administration policies or the Iraq war. If anything the war has provide an economic stimulus.

The bad economy is due to over leveraged company debt and the lack of credit to refinance that debt. This in combination with the debt created by bad home loans that got packaged and sold and lost value and then caused the banks to accure billions in bad assets on their books.

Credit is the reason our economy is bad. This has been going on for many administrations and have finally came to an eruption. Did bush's administration let it go on too long yes but so did the democratic leadership including the chairmain of the committe in charge Barney Frank. (a dem)

Credit is as old as time. People have always had a credit system even before credit cards. So now credit is not the reason that our economy is falling apart but nice try. Greed, however is. Greedy CEO's making greedy personal decisions and continuing to make greedy decisions and the government allowing those greedy decisions. Think Enron, think the auto manufacturers and their private jets when asking for a bailout, think the outrageous ceo salaries. The banks got themselves into trouble because they gave out too many loans to people who couldnt' really afford it. And why, because upfront it makes them look profitable and that brings in money, upfront. They don't think about what happens down the line, and the government never stepped...

you say credit is old and there for can not be the reason our system is breaking. you then go on to say the reason the system is breaking is because of greed. so according to your logic greed is a relatively new invention? 😕

I hate to break it to you greed is not new it is actually older then credit. in fact greed (wanting something you don't have) lead to credit (buying some thing you can't afford.)

The real truth though behind the current economic reality is actually natural market forces. threw out history a market colaps happens every 60 years or so. the current situation happened because commodities housing and stocks have all been rising steadily since WWII eventually all of them got so over inflated the markets had to reset t...

AMEN!!! If people really would take a serious look on how our government is structured they would find out that the president works for the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT which is our 1 voice as 50 individual countries (50 states for the mental midgets that don't get it) toward the rest of the world. short story he deals with foreign affairs not domestic. look at all the presidents that dealt with the internal and not the external. on top of that this petty bill really goes to show that we f$#%ked up with choosing our house members and congress... stimulus bill, clicky click bill, these are reasons you should worry more about local government instead of "oh yeah we voted the 1st black president to office" i just feel people have lost sight of the re...

I caught a guy taking pictures of my well covered up 10 year old daughter in Walmart. He is now in jail for 2 years, I think this law will help. This guy thought he was stealthy with the sound turned off but I saw him.

your example is a very rare one and not that often there is not hundreds of people trolling walmart waiting to take pictures of little girls when mommy is not looking. the troll you speak of is a 1 in 10000 type of person. this bill does not stop people like him. if he can not use his cell phone he will just go on ebay and buy a 20$ spy cam.

this bill is little more then the federal government preying on the fears of people to steal our free will from us.

It doesn't matter what subjects I choose in a public setting.

The reason that we keep seeing money wasted on stupid doa bills like this is that few people really have any idea of what a "right" is.

You don't have a right to treat the world as your living room.

You don't have a right to not be offended.

You don't have a right to dictate the actions of others, unless their actions impinge on your rights.

Again, there *isn't* any right to privacy in public.

That even includes children, as long as the images are not indecent.

If I want to take a picture of a group of children on a public playground, there isn't anything anyone can do legally to prevent it.

Being generally courteous, I would ask the permission of any paren...
