You talk like we are all retail employees who can walk down the strip mall and drop our apps off at the other cell phone stores. You talk like all companies are openly hiring in this economy. You do realize that a majority of the jobs in question are back office work that only have a few physical office locations where the function is performed...and each carrier has their back office work in different states. So if I wanted work for another carrier doing what I do, I would have to uproot my family and move to Georgia, California, or somewhere where another carrier has their HQ or large remote business office. That is to say that it is guaranteed I will be hired. The economy is trashed and very few companies are hiring right now. I have several peers who were cut through Sprint's 2007 and 2008 layoffs who are struggling today. Their severance pay ended long ago and they still can't find a new comparable job in their career field. The ones who did find jobs elsewhere took cuts in pay and even had to apply out of their expertise. One specific person foreclosed on his house and moved his family in with relatives because he couldn't afford to put a roof over his childrens' heads. So "YAY", right?
If you hate the service, then hate the service. Go buy an Iphone or Sidekick or enV and enjoy yourself. But keep the ignorant comments to yourself. The lives and well-beings of actual people are impacted by this and nobody is amused by your crap.
