I laughed at the part about them doing well with customers. If they are doing so well why are they bleeding customers like a trauma victim. I have one expired contract now and a second that lapses in March the iPhone is what the wife and I both are looking at at that time unless the come up with something in the Android family by then.

Again, it's mostly Nextel subscribers who are leaving the company for more data features. Look at the review on the Blackberry Curve on Nextel, people are giving it a horrible review because it lacks the media features they thought it would have. Doesn't mean that it is a bad phone, but it tells you were people's priorities are. Nextel, whether they like it or not, is a dying Network. It's great for the Direct Connect, but in the long run, no one is going to need it.

I guess, it's time to look for another job.

Agreed. Average Joe doesn't understand the different network technologies and their limitations. All they know is that the other carriers have "3G" and they don't. And they wonder why their Nextel Blackberry has slow data and email.

Sprint should have forced migration to CDMA a long time ago....

What Sprint should have done is operate Sprint and Nextel absolutely separately until Sprint's CDMA network could support the CDMA Direct Connect version, what is it QChat or something? Then they should have done a force-migration just like the other carriers did from AMPS/TDMA to GSM or CDMA. Then they could sell the network to the government or something.

Well I left Sprint a few months back for an iphone. After a couple of billing cycles when you start taking a look at how much AT&T ass rapes you for the privilege of using an iphone it kind of loses it shine a bit.

Not to mention in Central Louisiana at least AT&T's voice quality is sub par to Sprints. Echos, static, dropped calls...

Just fyi bradthomas, your issues could be caused by the phone its self. the iphone has a horrible antenna and wasnt know for pulling strong signal. See if one of your friends has a BlackBerry Curve or Bold, if they have the same issues then its the network but if not, then its your Iphone. At least thats what its like here on the west coast.

I use to live in Shreveport, LA.

Remember when Cingular was the best thing? Thats what most of the people had. But now there all switching to Alltel(Verizon) because thats pretty much the only thing that works in LA really well. Which im happy because it wasnt free to talk to them, but pretty soon we can all talk for free.

But, i go and visit, and the ones who still have AT&T, hate it now. It doesnt work as well as it use too in the state.

I think you answered your own questions. Although Sprint is doing better, most people want to just try other things. You said it best yourself, you're not leaving because you are completely disatisfied, you are leaving because you want a phone Sprint doesn't offer. If Sprint has an android phone by then you'd probably stay. I don't see why people find this surprising, all of these other companies are still for the most part growing, Sprint's been around longer than most of these companies have even existed and so now that customer are having more options, most of the customer are gonna come from Sprint.
