This means 4 more months of constant articles reminding people the change is going to happen...constant scrolling along local channels and that much longer for people to "not worry" about it.

If my 86 year old Grandparents can buy the box, hook up the box to their TV in the kitchen and Program the box - most people should have NO problem doing this if they just try.

Just another thing for people to beg the government for help with. Maybe Obama can send a DTV Tech out to all the poor people's house and give them a free hookup and programming session.

Actually I was thinking your grandparents would be perfect spokespeople for DTV as an example of how EASY it is.

I am thinking for another issue.....
this transition (NTSC to ATSC) can make a lot of electronic waste, esp CRT, which contains lead, no good for environment
another purpose of this receiver is: to extend these NTSC only TV life till it completely stops working
similar situation also is happening in Europe and Asia, which switching from PAL/SECAM to DVB or China standard
