Maybe not a whole lot. It's thinner and the GSM version has an hour more battery power (not sure about the CDMA version) and it was known as the Treo 850 before it was renamed the Pro so it's changes are probably more evolutionary.

I am currently using the Pro, and it's actually a bit different than the 800w. The battery life is awesome on the 850 (Pro), the form factor is 1000 times better, it's thinner, screen seems nicer, keyboard is better, and somehow, and I don't know why, it seems to run a lot better than the 800w.

it has a faster processor than the 800w does thats probably why it seems to run smoother. the pro has a 528Mhz processor which is to date the fastest in a palm device

I'm guessing that youre using the GSM version since the CDMA hasnt hit the market yet... I imagine it will run the same on CDMA as the 800, and lose the great battery power advances that you find with GSM phones. Essentially, theyre exactly the same phone, if you can overlook millimeters of size difference and the weight issue

No, at least one demo device made it to most Sprint stores and were told they can activate it as a demo device for the "advocate" employee. We are getting lots of required training on this as well so I don't see why it won't be around awhile. I can tell you first hand it is the "snappiest" of ANY WM 6/6.1 device released on Sprint at the least. It finally has the hardware to make WM 6.1 perform! Battery is much larger. A 1500mah roughly the sizeshape of the 6800/Mogul.

no the CDMA version is not the same as the 800w it has the upgraded processor and the web browser now supports flash lite, to make it more like a desktop view for browsing, those make quite a difference in the Pro

Have you used the 800w? That thing has so many problems and is just buggy. I have played with the pro some and haven't noticed any issues, but it is too early to tell

The phone itself looks sweet! I love that palm FINALLY made a phone where the screen is not recessed. The black makes it look really sleek, but it is a little slippery Sad

I have the phone now(Sprint phone advocate). Slippery and fingerprint magnet all over. It has a light version of flash on it, so I'm pulling up web pages that I could not with the 800w. Overall the phone looks good. Just miss the mat finish the 800 had which helped in holding the phone.

Hmmmm, as a tech the only major issue I see with the 800w is battery life (of course). But the 850 has much snappier performance in everyday use like opening apps, menu's etc. I'm pretty impressed. INSANE fingerprint magnet however. Too bad the fad in electronics these days is this gloss finish...
