Unfortnately at the time the movie came out, the predator was pretty pissed off. He had Cricket and experienced yet another dropped call. He then started attacking and eating everyone in sight. Due to this anger management issue, The secret of the technology and how it was done was not easily attainable. Simply put: Nobody was willing to get eaten to get it.
