I like the positive thinking however it's not realistic. If Motorola is not laying people off based on skill set, but if they are laying people off based on location(s), then they are losing quality people, hence they will not be delivering a simple, quality product. Besides, by the time they reorganize and focus on the 12 or so models, the competition will ship before they will and the cool factor is gone.
Sorry to sound negative. Just trying to be realistic. I am one of those who swear by Motorola as they make good stuff, on the whole.
