Give some love & respect to the company that brought the cellular phone to the consumer market!!!!
It's a damn shame what is happening with Motorola,
- !!BUT!! - Motorola is NOT the only tech company suffering/laying people off.

I agree to all but the Razer. Definetely not the worst phone ever made. I could think of many more. The razer is the most sold phone in the world, ever. Over 50 million Motorola Razers have been sold. Yes, 50 Million. Yes battery life sucked on alot and yes the water damage sticker was always indicating red on EVERYONES cell phone due to regular life/condensation. But I have come across tons of people that were completely happy with it. Motorola also used to have the...

I used to sell every major carrier in the US and Motorola did have a rash of bad CDMA handsets in the early '00s, but their GSM products were usually great, including my ROKR E1, ROKR Z6, SLVR L9, RIZR Z3, PEBL U6 and Q9h.
Were you around for the Samsung N200? Any CDMA Nokia?
Motorola's quality control went to crap. Their UI got increasingly stale and glitchy, and they just pounded out the same phone designs over and over.
The only positives were that until Ed Zander really killed off all innovation in the company, at least their designs were good. Whereas LG and Samsung were content making phones with all sorts of wierd lumps and bumps at least Motorola kept things sleek and ...

HA!..... Sprint is the next one in the tank. Actually, I think they've been in the tank since they bought Nextel. Talk about idiotic decisions.....
Sprint was a bad choice for a cellular provider BEFORE buying Nextel. Then Nextel comes on the scene and the Sprint reps can't figure out which version of which phone to sell you. And God forbid you call their tech line for support..... you have a push to what phone???
Come on fella, get a life.
Motorola as a company has been an industry leader in a number of areas, cell phones being only ONE of them. They also lead the field in two way communication devices, set top boxes for the c...

Then again, Moto skated by a long time on stale design language, resting it's laurels on the RAZR far more than just about anyone thought was prudent. By anyone's account, they've done their part to earn this result, but it's still very sad to see so many people's job's slashed.
I thought it odd that the handset business was the focus of the cuts, but then it makes sense given that the other areas don't require nearly as much marketing & carrier negotiation/development to be successful/profitable, and could be considered...
