Palm is coming out swinging! (And they have to.) They know it, and the rest of the world knows it! What better way to get some bad-ass apps on your devise than making it super easy to build for?

They are now taking a page out of the gaming industry. (The hardware is only as good as the software running on it). And making it this easy to build for, they should have very few problems ahead. (Unless Apple counters with something within the next few months.)

I have a Blackberry Curve right now but Palm has always been my first love. I got the 700p when it first came out and loved it to death. (I feel dirty for having a Curve.)

I'M SORRY PALM! 😢

I've been really impressed with what I've seen of WebOS thus far, and I can't wait until VZW finally gets a WebOS device. Palm could easily give iPhone a run for its money with this platform, in my opinion. My only real concern is how its office suite will fare, as I know that JavaScript is robust enough to allow for such functionality, but I wonder if the OS allows for Java-based apps and such.

I am glad that the brand is evolving. I just switched from BlackBerry to Palm a few months ago and I don't regret it. I was able to upgrade my Centro's software with ease and the software is user friendly.

It is a great move to have WebOS compatible to PDS Files. Overall, I think it gives current Palm users a sense of comfort, and will attract new customers.

Not just that. Palm is successfully consumerizing its product, which RIM has failed to do, despite the fact that RIM is obviously targeting consumers with most new devices. WebOS looks to be very intuitive. Honestly, if any platform is going to truly dethrone iPhone in terms of UI "WOW" factor, then it'll be WebOS.
