Both from the slightly more detailed specs you shared and the article on PS, neither mention support for an SDHC microsd card slot, some manufactures when they put a good amount of memory internally in a device, they sacrifice the microsd card slot, a bussiness practice I really hate!

So in addition to the 7.4GB's of on board memory, is there also a microsd slot?

Oooh I hate it when manufacterers put a lot of internal memory but no microsd slot.

I prefer removable memory.

Well whatever, my intentions as a current owner of the N95-3 is to get the N97-NAM when it comes out.

Thanks for getting back to me Rich, btw I know your in Vegas for CES, I live in Lv, near Sam's Town if you know where that is.

a Micro SD slot would be desirable, but with compression ratios and online storage these days, it's a luxury, not a necessity.

Oh, well I prefer removable memory, besides doesn't a smartphone run faster "supposedly" when apps are stored on an external memory card rather than onboard memory?

"supposedly"

key word there...

the phone itself runs faster, but the apps are a tad slower off the memory card. kind of like playing a game on your pc off a CD-ROM vs off your hard drive. the app runs smoother off the hard drive, but the overall speed of the pc is better when you are'nt playing the game.

If processor speeds ever get fast enough, then what pcs (and phones) could do is store the app on removable storage (CDrom, memory card)pull it onto permanent storage and remove it when the app isn't being used anymore

Hmm,...the bottom part I like, any idea as to how far away we are from that kind of processing power?

I think it can be done with OS & chip "design" rather than speed alone. Just my own theory/idea.

we may already be there with regards to processing speed. It might just be a software propgram that needs to be written.

Multi-touch? Really??? Most people, not you appearently, know that Apple has tight patents on multi-touch.

And wireless charging as far as I know isn't yet on the consumer market.
