What a stupid name....

But beyond that this looks like one helluva device from what appears to be the only other company that 'gets it' from a hardware and software perspective.* Never thought I'd see another compelling Palm device, but this looks like it can stand tall with the iPhone.

I especially appreciate the fact they obviously ganked what works with the iPhone and then tried to improve on what didn't. We'll see how it all works in real life, but rather than just focus on a gimmick (see Blackberry Storm) and spit out some sloppy execution, they're actually bringing some interesting ideas to the table.

Kudos to Palm. Now fix the name.

*If Android ever sees decent hardware, it can be admitted to the exclusive club.

actually in Spanish the word "pre"..means before or as in "preface" i/e (introduction)

pre [pray]
A preposition used in the composition of nouns and verbs, either to augment the signification or to mark priority of time and rank.

So I would take that Palm is stating the there is more to come on this technology.

Sorry! I could not resist! 😁

if you pronounce the name in French, it could sound like "ready". Though that word is spelled "pret", the "t" is mute. A better sense I guess? 🤣
