hey I am in customer service and most 2g Iphone users are automatically eligible for upgrade to the 3 g phones by default...you might want to check your upgrade with a rep.

The only trick now is to find AT&T 3g coverage.

To steal a Family Guy joke, "its like trying to find diversity in an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog". 😁

They take about 3-4 minutes with EDGE to download, too. Not too bad if you ask me.

Good. 😁 It's actually better than what the other carriers offer since the price remains the same.
I always found it weird that the others charge like $1.99-$2.99 for one song, and you gotta re-download the song onto your computer again.

But the song quality is inferior to the standard used when purchased from a computer.
With iTunes, it's the same 256kbps.

Yeah, I agree, 3G OTA downloading should have been enabled upon the launch of Iphone 3G.

Personally I'd like to see an AmazonMp3 application available to download to handsets beyond the HTC G1.

OTA downloading from AmazonMp3 would be awesome, I wouldn't have to wait til I got home to download a song.

So I'm curious, how swift is AT&T's 3G network, have you downloaded a song to your Iphone yet? How long does it take? Which city do you live in? I live in Las Vegas, 3G here is fine, I have high hopes for AT&T's 3G network for the 2nd half of this year though.

AT&T's 3G network is pretty fast. It took well under a minute for my song purchases to download.
