Im sick of people complaining about Blackberry. If you dont want one, then why post?

This phone has several great features that CDMA blackberry users have been after for a while. It may not be a droid, but not everyone wants or needs that. This phone looks pretty solid and while its not for everyone and I know the market is shifting....some people are still in love with their blackberries.

And the iphone looks almost exactly the same over 4 editions. Sometimes when you have an iconic design you dont revamp every single year. Its silly and you dont get much out of it.

And you see whats happening to the Iphone Vs. Android war. 🙄

I'm no droid fan, I want the Touch Pro 2.

But BB needs to step their game up and stop trying to cater to the minority such as yourself (10% of people who are ok with BB's current state) otherwise they will be nothing more then a company that has 10% market share.

If you aim to cater to 10% then eventually you will be 10%. Why not aim for the masses? Numbers show that BB is loosing market share every quarter and yet they continue with same ol' stuff.

I have no sorrow for a ignorant company. I hope they don't fail, my GF loves the bb (She is part of the minority) and I know the economy needs them but come on. Slider, touch screen, flip from the side, something, he11...

You should probably do a little research before commenting.

Or haven't you read about the absolutely insane profits RIM has made with devices such as the 9650?

If you don't want one. Don't comment.

My .02 as a Blackberry user of 10+ years, and I have NO experience with the 9650.

Sadly I have seen a steady decline from RIM in the Blackberry line. This applies to design and performance.

As for design, as an example, on the Tour, what genius figured out where to put the charging port where it is? Could it be in a worse place? I don't think so.

Regarding performance, I have been through 5 FRU Tour models so far. Before that, I had the Curve 1 and went through a slew of those as well. A whole range of issues, and don't even get me started in the web browser!

I won't beat up RIM anymore than I have and will just add this. For me, its decision time. Up until 15 months ago I carried two devices; a Blackberry and a basic cell phone....

Many people adore their Blackberry devices. I agree with the sentiment that if there isnt a problem to fix then there is no need to make a change. As BB devices are usually used by those in the business community, this new device will fulfill the productivity functions needed for the workplace, while allowing the user to enjoy many social networking tools as well. I think the average Blackberry user would be pleased with this phone.

How in the he11 would you "NEED" blackberry?

That doesn't even make sense. If thats not the most fanboyish statement I've ever heard. Your supposed to say I need such and such attributes and which blackberry provides for me, but to say you need blackberry is just outright blatantly biased.

Blackberry needs to change design. They keep loosing more and more market share while Apple and Android are just eating up more and more of the market. Come on you Canadians, step your game up. 😉

I "need" a blackberry, and probably always will, for 2 primary reasons:

1.) Durability (I am a die-hard phone dropper.)
2.) Battery life (I refuse to plug in my phone before I go to sleep.)

Android, etc. can't touch BB in those 2 categores. Heck, they can't even come CLOSE.

So if blackberry came out with a phone tomorrow that can't handle a drop (Storm) and the battery life sux, then what will you need?

Not blackberry, but you will still need and want a phone that has durability and good battery life.

So you want those two things, not a specific phone, and it just so happens that out of your choices blackberry is what meet those needs as of now. But to say you need Blackberry the company, kind insinuates that you don't care what bb does, you need it. Reminds me of the apple fan boys. 🤣 They need the iPhone 4 and how its the best iPhone yet, and blah blah blah. Its damn near the same phone as the other 3 phones they had before. Thats sad, because I like apple. I want a iPad so bad. But when they do th...
