Review: BlackBerry 9650 Bold

My .02 as a Blackberry user of 10+ years, and I have NO experience with the 9650.

Sadly I have seen a steady decline from RIM in the Blackberry line. This applies to design and performance.

As for design, as an example, on the Tour, what genius figured out where to put the charging port where it is? Could it be in a worse place? I don't think so.

Regarding performance, I have been through 5 FRU Tour models so far. Before that, I had the Curve 1 and went through a slew of those as well. A whole range of issues, and don't even get me started in the web browser!

I won't beat up RIM anymore than I have and will just add this. For me, its decision time. Up until 15 months ago I carried two devices; a Blackberry and a basic cell phone. I used the BB exclusively for email, social media, and web. I am considering 3 or 4 options, and none of which include me carrying any one device solely. I am of the opinion that these "smartphones" are not intended for heavy usage (i.e. 5000+ minutes a month) users.
