THe phone is tested to military standard. submerged in water for 30 minutes
they say water resistant and not water proof because if you abuse the phones charging and memory card gaskets it won't hold the water out anymore, also they tested it at a certain depth and didn't throw it into an abyss so once it reaches hull crush depth it may take on water

So don't take the Memory Card out, use the Charging Cradle, and don't dive with it.

The test is 1 meter submersion for 15 minutes.

Unofficial real-world tests have shown deeper results, 2 meters for 30 minutes, even 5 or 10 meters it might hold. Remember, this is CASIO who designed the shell, they overbuild everything!

Go on youtube and watch videos of what you can do to this phone. My buddy dropped his in a pitcher of beer and left it there for 20 min. He took it out and made a call no prob. The phone is rock solid.
